Rafik Khabibullovich Yakubov
Born on 14 September 1966, Rafik Yakubov was a trainee of Kazan hockey school. He played for Uritsky SK/Itil/Ak Bars (Kazan), Sputnik (Almetyevsk), SKA (Sverdlovsk), Lada (Tolyatti), Neftekhimik (Nizhnekamsk).
During his playing career, Yakubov was the two-time Champion of Russia, the two-time silver medalist of Russian championships. He served 12 seasons for HC Ak Bars (1983-1987, 1989-1999), suited up 479 matches (31 goals+55 assists) in national championships.
From 2002 to 2005 he worked for Neftekhimik, first as a senior coach, then as the club director, the general manager, and the head coach. Since 2017 - General manager of Ak Bars hockey club.
During his career in the club, the team became the Champion of Russia, the KHL Champion and the winner of the Gagarin Cup in 2018.
