On March 7, Ak Bars won Torpedo in the third match of the series of the Eastern Conference with the scoring of 4:0.
Torpedo actively started the match in Ak Bars zone. Kirill Petrov threw a shot and Harri Pesonen sent the puck 1:0. The first half of the second twenty minutes turned out to be difficult for Ak Bars. In the 34th minute Ak Bars ran into the attack and Mikael Wikstrand made a pass to the open corner to Viktor Tikhonov – 2:0. After 50 seconds, Torpedo again had penalty and Kirill Petrov hit the puck into the goal – 3:0. In the third period Torpedo was slightly more active. The last minutes of the match Nizhny Novgorod played in powerplay, removed the goaltender and missed the fourth goal. Thus, Kazan got the match to victory.
